Edit the text in a meme

Meme captions are heavy, outlined and sit directly on the image. Select the caption and type a new one; it is matched to the weight, outline and position of the lettering it replaces.

What makes this one hard

Meme text carries a black outline around white letters, and that outline has usually been through several rounds of re-compression. Matching the letters without matching the degraded outline is what makes a re-captioned meme look off.

Do I need the blank template?

No. The caption is replaced in place, which is useful when only the captioned version exists.

Will the outline be kept?

The replacement is matched to the lettering around it, outline included, rather than set in a clean font over the top.
